Brendan conducted the Beecroft Orchestra for some 9 years until December 2011. Through the arrival of x3 children and a hectic work existance he continued to support us and was much loved. What did we admire about him? He understood that we were not the Sydney Symphony but would always try our best for him. We are a community orchestra and in his final concert address he explained how he had come to understand the importance of the orchestra's mission statement "Uniting People through Music". His patience and emotional control were highly valued although we knew there were moments when we caused him great despair-but he never showed it. Thank you Brendan for the time you gave to us and for the trust you showed in us-you will never be forgotten.
Brendan will continue to return as a guest conductor of the orchestra into the future from time to time.
