Danielle Baynes is an actor, writer and director based in Sydney. A graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Danielle has also studied Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), London.
As a playwright and performer, Danielle developed her show Bicycle at the Stella Adler Academy, New York. Bicycle premiered at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 2016 to critical acclaim and went on to have a sell-out Sydney season at the iconic Old Fitz Theatre.
Danielle is a prominent voice artist across animation, commercials and narration. Credits include Ghosts of Time, Sally Bollywood, and the live stage shows of Adventure Time, Power Rangers, and Angelina Ballerina. Danielle has narrated many Australian audiobooks including Seven Types of Ambiguity, The Choke and the upcoming The Lucky Galah.
Danielle’s debut short film Cold Hearts, co-written and directed with Yolanda Ramke, was nominated for a 2016 Australian Writers Guild Award (AWGIE) and won Best Narrative Short and Exceptional Emerging Artist: Acting awards at the Hollywood Film Festival. Cold Hearts was the recipient of Deluxe Australia’s Heartbeat Fund and recently played in competition at the Academy Award accredited Flickerfest Short Film Festival.
In 2017, Danielle was selected for a prized internship at Big Light Productions in London, shadowing the writers on Season 3 of Medici: Masters of Florence.
