Dawn Nettheim
Dawn is a Bassoon player who joined the Beecroft Orchestra at its inception when Alan Stiles first started gathering people together to form a chamber group. She is a NSW Conservatorium-accredited teacher and a registered M.A.G.A. copyist and music arranger. In the past 15 years she has worked for all the country' s major professional orchestras and most of the major Australian composers. At present she teaches music theory, musicianship, & harmony.
Dawn is always calm and easy to get on with and has contributed positively to the orchestra in many ways. Initially, she was the Secretary and Assistant Manager for 10 years .At the same time she was also on the executive committee of three other organisations and playing with two other orchestras, (she says she must have been mad!!!) Lately, she is often seen selling tickets at the door on Concert day for us.
She is currently the "in-house" arranger for the Golden Kangaroos (Hornsby Concert Band).
However, she has stayed on as an "emergency" player with Beecroft and that seems to be more often than not-which we are very pleased about.
